Vista Ford Mustang Show & Super Car Sunday

Last Saturday afternoon, I headed over to see our friends at Vista Ford in Woodland Hills, Ca. They were the hosts of a local Ford Mustang club's annual Ford car show. I stopped by there to see some customers and promote our upcoming Ford event on Saturday, May 18th.

The car show gave out plenty of trophies and Vista Ford provided food and drinks for all attendees. The show was filled with a variety of original, restored and custom Ford Mustang vehicles.

The following morning I headed over to Super Car Sunday. Though the weather wasn't great, there was still a large crowd. SCS is always a great place for friends to meet up on Sunday mornings.

The marquee this past Sunday was British automobiles. Aston Martin, Lotus, Jaguar and many similar British vehicles had the preferred parking spaces on Sunday morning.

There is always a variety of muscle cars, exotics and classic cars that meet up in Woodland Hills.

After Super Car Sunday, I headed over to the annual Classic Chevys of Southern California Car Shows at Rancho San Antonio in Chatsworth, Ca. I will post more photos from the car show on Wednesday.

California Car Cover's main website or Facebook page both have information on events that California Car Cover is hosting or will be attending next.

Last Week's Highlights: POOL, Galpin's Shelby Party and Super Car Sunday

Last week went by pretty fast. After returning from Monterey Auction weekend I was only at the office for a day before heading out to MAGIC. The semi-annual clothing event is an apparel show where I get to catch up with some of our suppliers and see what's coming out next year.

At Project, I stopped by the State Bicycle Company's booth and entered the contest for one of their new bikes. I was excited to find out that I was the lucky winner of one of their bicycles. The bike looks great and the company puts together a really cool bike. I took some photos of the bike outside of California Car Cover when I returned home.

If you follow me on Instagram (calcarcover), you might have seen these cool mustaches socks that I picked up while at the show. I only had to trade them the pair of socks that I was wearing to get this pair.
After a few days in the office it was off to Galpin Ford for the Shelby reception. Galpin recently announced that its performance shop is now an authorized Shelby Mod Shop for Shelby upgrades to Ford automobiles. It was exciting news for our friends over at Galpin Ford. This past Saturday night they hosted a reception for local automotive businesses and enthusiasts before having a Shelby car show the next day at their facility.

Many of the legendary and historic Shelby automobiles that were on display at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion were on display at the event.

The next day it was off to Super Car Sunday in Woodland Hills. The featured vehicles on display were British cars so there were plenty of Jaguar, Lotus, Triumph, and Aston Martin automobiles on display at the Westfield Promenade.

There were a variety of Jaguar models at SCS from past until present.

In addition to the featured marquee, there were still plenty of classic cars, muscle cars and motorcycles at SCS. The show always attracts a variety of vehicles. I was on hand representing California Car Cover and talking about all the upcoming events at our store.

Right around the corner from Super Car Sunday is the monthly Topanga Vintage Market. It is held the 4th Sunday of the month so it is often the same day as SCS. It is a great place to find vintage decor for your home or garage, plus you are guaranteed to find some oddball stuff that causes a chuckle.
Hey, Cool it, man.

There are always a few vendors with some cool old garage decor, like these old oil cans.

Plus you can find numerous portraits of old guys with mustaches.
A vintage movie poster shop is always there. They had a large Steve Mc Queen "Bullitt" poster up for sale.

The Vintage Market

Everyone that enters the vintage market, gets a name badge when he or she pays. The sticker I received this time around is above.
