Introducing Golden Shine Waterless Wash

This month we released the newest product in our Golden Shine car care line, Waterless Wash. This easy to use product will save you time and natural resources. Here are a few tips to get the best results with our newest cleaner.
For best results, use the Golden Shine Waterless Wash with a bundle of ultra soft microfiber towels, like our premium Quick Shine towels. Waterless Wash is a concentrated cleaner with lubricants to safely and easily remove light dust and dirt from your vehicle's finish. It is very important to use only clean towels when you use Waterless Wash to prevent micro scratching.
Waterless Wash is the perfect product to use when your vehicle is a little too dusty to use detail spray alone to maintain the vehicle in between traditional car washes. It is not recommended for vehicles that are heavily soiled.
To use, simply spray the product on a small section of your vehicle at a time and buff to a shine. Constantly flip the towel to keep the cleanest side of the towel in use. Rotate towels often to make sure you are always using a clean towel as well.

Waterless Wash can be used on any of the vehicle's hard surfaces, such as paint and the chrome trim.
Waterless Wash is a concentrated cleaner with lubricant. It will clean and add a little shine to your vehicle. For best results, follow an application of Waterless Wash with our Golden Shine Quick Shine detail spray to give your paint a glossy shine.

Waterless Wash is available through California Car Cover or any of our authorized Golden Shine car care dealers. For more information visit the California Car Cover website.

Golden Shine Variable Speed Polishing Kit

Car care season is here and it is time to get your paint into car show shape with our Golden Shine Machine Polishing Kit. The kit includes everything you need to make your vehicle look its best. The kit is easy to use for the novice detailer, but will provide results that will meet the expectations of a detailing expert.

The Orbital Polisher Kit includes a Porter Cable 7424XP random orbital polisher. Porter Cable is a respected hand tool manufacturer and the 7424XP has set the standard for power, reliability and usability. It features an adjustable speed setting and built in clutch that prevents the pad from spinning when too much pressure is applied.
How does your paint look? If there is oxidation, swirl marks or hazing, you might want to start with a medium cut polish, like our Golden Shine Swirl Remover. For best results, use the Swirl Remover in conjunction with our orange polishing pad. First, moisten the pad with a few sprays of detail spray. This softens the pad and extends its life. Next apply a few drops of polish to the pad as shown above.
Before turning on the polisher, work the polish into a small sections of the vehicle at a time.
Adjust the Porter Cable to the proper setting and start to work the polish into your paint. Move the orbital around the section of paint until the applied polish begins to fade. After completing each section wipe up any polish residue with a microfiber towel.
After applying a medium cut polish, the next step is to go over the paint with a fine grade polish, like our Golden Shine Ultimate Paint Polish. The Ultimate Paint Polish is designed for use with an orbital and will give your paint a deep, glossy shine. Repeat the same steps as above, just use the color coordinated green polishing pad with the Ultimate Paint Polish this time around.
Wipe off any excess polish and now it is time to apply a coat of wax to lock in the shine. We use the quick polishing pad in conjunction with our Golden Shine Premium Wax. The quick polishing pad is the easiest and fastest way to apply a coat of wax to your vehicle. Our Premium Wax provides a durable layer of protection on your paint.
To use, moisten the pad and apply three drops of wax like you did before. Apply an even coat of wax and buff to a shine with a soft microfiber towel. For more information on this kit, please visit the California Car Cover website.

Shop Tour: Roy Brizio Street Rods

For over 25 years, Roy Brizio and the staff at his street rod shop have built some of the best looking and best driving street rods and customs in the country. His latest projects picked up a number of awards at this year's Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, Ca. Roy Brizio Street Rods is located in South San Francisco, Ca and worth a visit if you are in the Bay Area for an automotive event.Roy Brizio and my father have been friends for many years. We were fortunate for the opportunity to have Roy and his father Andy participate on our Father's Day 2010 catalog cover.

Inside the shop, this poster at the counter caught my eye right away. Check out the car owner using a California Car Duster to keep his Hi-Boy clean. This needs to be on display at our headquarters!

The Roy Brizio Street Rods showroom: Roy Brizio Street Rods is also one of our Golden Shine Dealers in the San Francisco Bay area. It is a great place for Northern California customers to pick up all the Golden Shine products they need. The shop carries a variety of accessories and options to make your street rod look just how you want.
Out in the shop were many projects in various stages of completion. Most of the cars on hand were street rods, but there were a few muscle cars and classics in the shop for some upgrades.

New Golden Shine Car Care Products for Spring

California Car Cover is proud to announce four additional items have been added to the Golden Shine Car Care line this spring. Available starting this month, we are now offering Leather Care, Tire & Trim Spray, Undercarriage Spray and Headlight Restorer in the Golden Shine brand.

"The Golden Shine line has been well received by our customers. We have been listening to many of their suggestions for new products and look forward to bringing more great items annually," said Jim DeFrank.
One of our more popular products has been our Tire and Trim Dressing. The premium dressing works great and provides a long lasting shine, but does need to be applied with a foam applicator and worked into the tires or trim. For those enthusiasts looking for a quicker way to apply the dressing we developed the Golden Shine Tire & Trim Spray.
The Tire & Trim Spray applies easily and sprays on for maximum covering in a short amount of time. Any access or over spray can easily be wiped up with a microfiber towel.

Once the Golden Shine Tire & Trim Spray is applied simply go over the treated area with a microfiber towel or foam applicator to make sure the dressing is evenly applied.

Undercarriage Spray is no longer an auto detailer's secret. This product works wonders on fender wells and undercarriages. Often fender wells look dull and are covering in dust and dirt that is kicked up from the tires. This product provides a low shine coating to make dark plastics and metals look new.

Often fender wells look like this. Though the car might have recently been washed, fender wells can look dirty and dull. We recommend first rinsing the fender wells with a degreaser, such as our Golden Shine Go-To Cleaner. This will rinse away a lot of the grime and provide a cleaner surface for the Undercarriage Spray to bond to.

Spray the Golden Shine Undercarriage Spray evenly around the fender wells and undercarriage. A nice even coat will give your vehicle a nice even shine and looks great for days, not hours.

Looking to keep your seats clean and soft? The Golden Shine Leather Care is a cleaner and conditioner for interior leather surfaces.
The product is really easy to use. Simply apply a small amount to a towel, work into the leather surface and buff dry.

Golden Shine Leather Care provides a low sheen to all the leather surfaces in your vehicle.

Headlights looking a little hazy? Our Golden Shine Headlight Restorer will help you clear up some hazing and make your headlights look like new. The polish is easy to use and does not require the use of a polish ball.

Golden Shine Headlight Restorer can be applied by hand with a microfiber polishing pad. As the polish begins to break down, simply buff to a shine with a clean microfiber towel. Our Headlight Restorer is not a heavy cut polisher. It is an enthusiast grade headlight polish. The product is meant to maintain and clean headlights with light hazing, but are in fairly good condition. If your headlights have heavy yellowing that is baked into the headlights then it is better to use a heavy cut product in conjunction with a polishing ball.
