Speed & Stance at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana

While I was attending some classic car shows in the Los Angeles area, my friends from eco-shine auto reconditioning and dub-nation cruised out to the Speed and Stance event at Auto Club Speedway. Mitch Sison from eco-shine and Bernie Chacon of dub-nation represented California Car Cover and our Golden Shine Car Care Products. Bernie took some photos for us while at the show, so if you did not make it to the event, here is what you missed.
Speed & Stance was promoted by our new friends over at Motor Mavens. It was a car show and auto cross event for European cars. The guys took our Golden Shine Car Care products and low profile jack out there to show off.

Bernie demonstrated our low profile jack which is perfect for sports cars and compact cars where storage space is limited. The jack is rated at 2,000 lbs so it is great for a quick tire change or to raise a lowered vehicle enough to use a regular size floor jack when working on the car.

The event attracted 100's of cars to the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.

Our friend Mitch, who operates eco-shine car care, talked car care and accessories with customers. He uses some of our Golden Shine Car Care products when detailing vehicles.

California Car Cover was just one of many supporters of the show. There were plenty of local automotive performance and appearance companies displaying their products and services.

Style over comfort

Big thanks to the guys for representing California Car Cover at Speed & Stance. And thanks to Bernie for sharing the great photos from the event with our California Car Cover customers. Hot Rod Magazine Homecoming & Hot Import Nights in Fontana

This past Saturday I cruised out to Pomona to check out the Hot Rod Homecoming. Afterwards I drove out to Fontana to see some customers at the most recent Hot Import Nights car show at Auto Club Speedway. The photos from the Hot Rod Homecoming are first.
Hot Rod Magazine is celebrating its 65th year in publication and it tried to round up as many magazine cover cars as possible for the anniversary. The show attracted a few hundred cover cars from the past 65 years, plus Hot Rod opened up the fairgrounds to plenty of classic cars to be on display during the weekend. Here are some photos from the action on Saturday afternoon.

There were plenty of vintage gassers on display, one of the more notable ones was the Stone, Woods & Cook Willys.
Many of the Hot Rod magazine project cars from over the years were at the show, including Project X and the F-Bomb.

This 1960 Cadillac Thundertaker built by Fuller Hot Rods was a unique vehicle that attracted a lot of attention.
There were a few of the traditional style rods on display that have been featured on Hot Rod magazine covers more recently. A poster of the Hot Rod magazine cover that the vehicle was on was next to the featured car, so show attendees could recall which year a car was on the cover.

This was one of my favorite vehicle at the show. The Tom McEwen Hot Wheels Funny Car Hauler was outstanding. Here are a few of the cool photos from the California Car Cover Instagram feed from the Hot Rod Homecoming

Outside at the Homecoming there were plenty of vendors, plus live music and festivities. There happened to be Hot Rod Magazine birthday cake of which I was a fan.

Another night event was the celebrity autograph session. Many famous car builders and automotive legends that were on hand signed autographs for plenty of fans in attendance.

After a piece of cake is was off to Fontana for the Hot Import Night car show. I had never been to a HIN event and it was something to see. Plenty of music and custom cars packed the parking lots at Auto Club Speedway.
The highlight of the evening was the selection of the local Miss Hot Import Night. The contest involved girls dancing around to a lot of loud music.

Most of the car were late model vehicles, but there were still a few vintage Japanese and German vehicles on display.
