SEMA Show 2012 Day #1 Vehicle Unveilings

The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas was this past week and there was plenty to see and do for the automotive enthusiast. I was at the show representing California Car Cover as we were part of numerous vehicle unveilings on Tuesday. I spent the rest of the show looking for new products and capturing photos and videos of all the custom cars on display. Here are photos from the first day of SEMA. I will post photos from Day #2 of the SEMA Show 2012 on the blog early next week.

Tuesday was all about custom vehicles being unveiled for California Car Cover. We contributed a number of custom fit California Car Covers to projects, so we wanted to make sure we were on hand at the big unveils. The first stop for the day was at the Lokar booth for the custom 1969 Chevy Camaro built by Goolsby Customs. It was built for the owners of Lokar and featured many of Lokar's products.

Before our next unveiling featuring cars built by Rich Evans, I took some photos of the cool and unique cars and trucks on display at the SEMA Show.

Hurricane Sandy unfortunately kept some attendees away, but there was still a large crowd in attendance.

The next stop was the first of two unveiling featuring the work of Rich Evans. Rich is based out of Huntington Beach and comes up with some wild custom cars and trucks. This custom Hummer Roadster was put together with Rich and a great group of car builders. The Hummer was kept under a California Car Cover Customweave cover until the unveiling.

Next it was off to the ARP booth for the unveiling of the Pure Vision Design Martini Mustang. Pure Vision owner, Steve Strope, has been a long time friend and customer of California Car Cover.
The Martini Mustang was kept under one of our California Car Cover unveiling covers with custom California Car Cover and Pure Vision Design logos.

The Mustang picked up a Best Of Show Award from Ford as the best Ford at the event. It was quite an honor for Steve and the Pure Vision Design crew.

Next it was back to the show to find some new products and check out the custom vehicles.

The next unveiling was in the BASF booth featuring a custom Chevy Camaro built by longtime customers, the Ringbrothers. This custom Camaro, dubbed "The Grinch," has plenty of custom touches courtesy of the Ringbrothers.

The BASF and Ringbrothers debuts at SEMA always attract a large crowd. It was nice to see a California Car Cover front and center. Big thanks to Ringbrothers for choosing CCC.

After the Grinch unveiling, it was over to the Wyotech booth for another debut of a Rich Evans custom car. This car was built in Canada and the US with the help of Rich's crew, plus graduates of the Wyotech automotive school.

That was our last unveiling of the day. It was a busy day for California Car Cover, but an enjoyable one. I had a lot of fun meeting customers and being on hand with the media to see some awesome cars being showcased. I took some more photos before leaving for the day.

The Ford booth is always home to plenty of cars, people and action at the SEMA Show. This year they had a number of autograph sessions, Twitter contests and video of Ford road racing team members. There were also plenty of custom Ford vehicles on display.

Automotive seminars were held throughout the day, everyday.

That was about it from Day #1. I will post plenty of more photos here on Monday detailing all the action and sights from Wednesday at the 2012 SEMA Show. For more information on California Car Cover, please check out our website or Facebook page. -Tony
